With attendance of over 1,500, this year’s conference marked the historic 10th anniversary of the Agile Manifesto that served as a significant milestone in the progress of software development worldwide. As a Silver Sponsor for this year’s event, ATSC showcased our strength in agile deployments with several new successful engagements since last year’s show. |

(ATSC-MBA CSI) team showcased cyber security recruiting initiatives directed by the U.S. Army Intelligence and Security Command (INSCOM) under the Army Human Resources Solutions Recruitment and Retention (R&R) Indefinite Delivery, Indefinite Quantity (IDIQ) contract at the FOSE 2011 Cybersecurity Technology Marketplace exhibition. Beckoned by giant chess pieces and the message “Your move…,” booth visitors were welcomed by ATSC – MBA CSI team members ready to discuss INSCOM’s progressive cyber security recruiting initiative, Cyber Brigade. Participants were also treated to a video outlining INSCOM’s Cyber Brigade recruiting efforts spearheaded by the ATSC – MBA CSI team. |

| 07/13/2011 | Boston | MIT Information Quality Industry Symposium ATSC Senior Business Systems Analyst, Mark Amspoker, presented a tutorial on “Application of the Federal Data Quality Framework and the Federal Enterprise Architecture (FEA) Reference Models” on July 13 at the MIT Information Quality Industry Symposium in Boston, Massachusetts. The tutorial acquainted business leaders with proven strategies for integrating information quality (IQ) into their existing architecture and engineering programs. Under the auspices of the CIO Council’s Data Architecture Subcommittee, Mr. Amspoker was the principal author of The Federal Data Quality Framework. The Framework, designed to provide guidance for consistent understanding and practices of data quality across government agencies, has become a widely recognized best practices document among IQ practitioners in the Federal government. As part of the tutorial, Mr. Amspoker provided an overview of the Framework and how it is being used by agencies. | 06/05/11 – 06/08/11 | Nashville | IASA (Insurance Accounting and Systems Association) Educational Conference and Business Show The ATSC insurance division team’s presence at the annual IASA (Insurance Accounting and Systems Association) Educational Conference and Business Show held June 5-8 in Nashville, Tennessee included both an exhibition and speaking opportunities. ATSC team members selected to speak in four distinct educational sessions included Insurance Division Vice President Janeen Blanton, IT Consulting Division Vice President Ken France, Director Kyle Bonestell and Sales Consultant Rex Bagwell, and their presentations covered the following topics: management development for technical staff, project management for distributed project teams, differences between Agile and waterfall methodologies, and conflict management. ATSC insurance division has received numerous speaking invitations from local IASA chapters in South Carolina, Florida, Alabama, Texas, Michigan and other states. | 06/03/11 – 06/07/11 | Orlando | Innovate 2011 – The IBM Rational Software Conference The ATSC Technology Services division exhibited at Innovate 2011 – The IBM Rational Software Conference in Orlando, Florida, June 3-7, 2011. In addition to the exhibition, ATSC team members delivered four distinct technical presentations that highlight how the adoption of agile practices in developing smarter software and systems minimizes time-to-market and cost, and increases productivity. These presentations were so well received that the team has been asked to present them again at additional upcoming IBM speaking engagements. The abstracts submitted by ATSC senior consultants Eyal Abukasis and Pratik Bengali (joint submission), Kanishka Badhwar, Bobby Walters and Kim Werner’s abstracts were selected for presentation at this year’s conference from among thousands submitted.
